Welcome to the Haus der Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen.
Participation.
Art.
Inclusion.
Since 1985.
The Haus der Diakonie is an inclusive enclave for art and a lively melting pot of creative ideas. In a unique atmosphere here, in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland, we have been supporting people with disabilities with our diverse range of services since 1985.
The Haus der Diakonie offers peace and quiet in the beautiful landscape of the southern Black Forest. At the same time, you can benefit from the region's cultural diversity: the nearby towns on the Upper Rhine and in the Jura Mountains, the vibrant cultural metropolis of Basel and the charming Alsace provide variety and cultural experiences.
CLOSE CONNECTION
EVERYDAY LIFE AND ART
The creation of the house and the development of its offerings are largely thanks to the support of well-known artists and art enthusiasts.
SPECIAL PLACE TO LIVE
The three residential buildings and the rented apartment offer 81 adults with disabilities an aesthetically attractive home and a place to develop their lives.
VARIETY OF OFFERS
The daily living environment, the employment and educational opportunities of the day center with 42 places and the (inclusive) artistic offerings open up a wide range of creative and developmental opportunities.
INCLUSIVE ART
IN LIFE
In the entrance areas, hallways and common rooms you will find inspiring works by well-known artists with and without disabilities. This makes the Haus der Diakonie, with its rich collection of inclusive art, a living art gallery.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
The users of our services receive assistance from a highly qualified, experienced and innovative international team. Collaboration with relatives and legal guardians is important to us. We cooperate nationally and internationally and receive a wide range of support.
2025 ANNIVERSARY
40 YEARS
HAUS DER DIAKONIE
The world-famous violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter is the patron of the anniversary that we will celebrate in 2025: 40 years of the Haus der Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen!
The motto of the anniversary year is "Inclusive art is strong art". In the tradition of our founders Hanna and Paul Gräb, we want to enter the new decade with fresh and creative ideas for our organization. We will inform you promptly about the events that our creative community of residents, employees and supporters are organizing in this special year together with guests and friends from different corners of Germany and abroad. Let us celebrate our 40th anniversary together in 2025 in a forward-looking way!
