Artists from the Haus der Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen have applied for the Lothar Späth Prize for artists with intellectual disabilities.
The award ceremony took place on June 22nd in the concert hall of Stadthalle Wehr.
Included in the Program in the concert hall of the Stadthalle Wehr: An inclusive dance performance developed by the Dance Theater Öflingen from the Haus der Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen under the artistic direction of Alexandr Azarkevitch, Ph.D. along with vocal performances by our inclusive street choir, led by Luise Martin-Ruffing.
The world-famous violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter presented the prizes together with Michael Thater, the mayor of Wehr. Heidrun Meyer from the Haus der Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen received a prize for her competition entry. We are very proud of her!
The “Lothar Späth Prize” is the most important international competition for visual arts in the German-speaking world for artists with cognitive impairments.
